Artist Statement
– I work with the close, the domestic, the local environment, – with the portrait and relationships, – with being alone or in community, – with the everyday and repetitions. Through my works, I aim to reflect and explore what is happening within me and in my time, in a thoughtful and investigative way, so that it hopefully resonates and feels present for others as well. I work with the subject, composition, colors, emotional moods, and the psychological space – all five elements are crucial and essential to how the work comes into being.
